Daniel Lui

Daniel is a real life hero who grew up in Northern California near Lassen National Park. It was there he began his aviation training and also completed paramedic school at College of the Siskiyous. He also gained many life skills in the country, learning how to be a jack of all trades. He was a volunteer for Tehama County Search and Rescue, as well as involved in many outdoor activities with friends and family. As a teen he gave his life to the Lord and felt called to volunteer as a mission helicopter pilot nearly 9 years ago. He went to serve in the southern Philippines where he was based on the island of Palawan. There, he spent his time flying rescue medical evacuation missions for the hardest-to-reach people, as well as serving to bring much needed supplies to jungle schools and villages. He was the only helicopter pilot for the region, and estimated an hour of hiking as equivalent to a minute of flying. He was able to save many sick and injured people’s lives, who otherwise would die before getting access to medical care. Daniel was a very humble person, always willing to help others without recognition or payment. His goal was to show others God’s love through service and live a life helping others. His motto was a quote from CT Studd: “Only one life,’twill soon be past. Only what’s done for Christ will last.”

March 1st, 2023, he was flying a medical evacuation mission when his gps tracker stopped giving signal. Since then, several investigations have taken place and no evidence of a crash has been found. We are asking for your help in finding him and his coworker Janelle (female 23), a nurse on the flight with him, as well as the passengers. The passenger names on the official MDRRMO manifest were: Khayrun Nesa Sahibad (female 29), Nastru Sahibad (male 29) and Sug Hamja (male 29). Your prayers and support are so appreciated. If you have any information, please leave us a message or email. This is a safe and anonymous way to help us find them. Thank you!
